"Grow up into Him in all things." Ephesians 4:15
We have to grow up into Christ—and we cannot do this except we grow out of self. Self is a deadly enemy to growth in Christ.
Where self-righteousness, self-indulgence, self-conceit, self-dependence—or in whatever other form self may come—it is a deadly enemy to growth in grace!
