The Synoptic Gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Synoptic means seeing together or having a common view.
The 4 living creatures in the Bible are found in:
Ezekal 1; Ezekal 10; Rev. 4
The four living creatures have 4 faces:
A lion, an Ox, a Man, and an Eagle.
The four gospels each represent one of the faces:

Matthew - Lion
Mark - Ox
Luke - Man
John - Eagle
