Contradiction #43

Bill says that he saw no Children in hell, but later he gives us two Scriptures which he says are descriptions of hell:

"The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His anger and His wrath" (Deut. 29:23).

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire" (Jude 1:17).

"But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly: (Gen. 13:13).

"Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; "And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground" (Gen. 19:24-25).

"But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all" (Luke 17:29).

God spared the children of Korah (Num. 26:11) when God opened the earth and swallowed them up alive. But with Sodom, Gomorrah, and ALL the cities of the plain, God did not spare the little children and infants. Every inhabitant perished, save Lot, his wife, and two daughters.

Notice Jesus' warning concerning Capernaum:

"And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee" (Matt. 11:23-24).

Just as with Sodom, the inhabitants (ALL the inhabitants) of Capernaum were to be brought "down to hell" - Greek: hades - the unseen state of the dead. In other words, as a "city," Capernaum would no longer exist, it would be a ghost town. And that is precisely it's present lot. It is presently an archeological site.

But, if "hades" is an ever-burning place of torture, then it must include children and even infants. Christians can't have it both ways. If "hell" translated from the Greek 'hades - the unseen state of the dead," is a place of eternal torture in fire, then it is impossible to conclude that there are no children and infants there, for in the case of Sodom, Gomorrah, all the cities of the plain, and Capernaum, their death and destruction INCLUDED both children and infants. I told you this doctrine is not only evil, but contradicts all Scripture. Here is proof that if you spank a child you can deliver his soul from hell ( Heb: sheol)

Prov 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Prov 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell ( Heb: 'sheol' - death, state of the dead) .

So are we to believe from these verses that if we don't give correction to a child, that he will go to hell and be tortured in fire for all eternity. A "child?"

Contradiction #44

"I asked my wife to come up for a minute so that she could just share with you what happened when she found me in the living room, because I don't remember that part."

But then Bill contradictions himself by telling us things that he did remember while on the living room floor. Here is what Bill's wife, Annette, witnessed when she found him on the living room floor:

( 1) "I saw him there traumatized, literally traumatized holding his skull, holding his head between his hand and crying out and screaming.

( 2) "I just started to pray and he cried out and said, 'Pray that the Lord would take this out of my mind. The Lord took me to Hell. I feel like my body is dying. I can't handle this.

( 3) "So I proceeded to pray over him, and in about ten to twenty minutes he began to calm down." (23 Minutes Script from Internet, p.3).

Now here is what Bill remembered while lying in the living room.

( 1) "And when He ( Jesus) left, all of the sudden all of the fear and the horrors of Hell entered my mind."

( 2) "I couldn't stand it."

( 3) "I knew ( even though he didn't know, seeing that he told us 'I don't remember') that this body was not capable of withstanding that kind of fear. You can't hold up under that kind of pressure. Your body isn't strong enough."

( 4) "So that's when I prayed and I was able to pray, 'Take it out of my mind!"

( 5) "I remember..." ( What? He 'remembered?" I thought he had his wife explain all that happened on the living room floor because he said: "I don't remember that part?' Anyway...) "I remember being amazed as I looked at the water in the glass Annette handed to me. It was life in a glass.

( 6) "I gulped it down and asked for another - I never wanted to be thirsty again."

( 7) "After the second glass was finished, my wife and I returned to the bedroom." 23 Minutes Script from Internet, p. 3 & 23 Minutes in Hell, p. 47).

It appears that Bill remembered more of what happened in the living room than his wife remembered, even though Bill said, "I don't remember that part."

Contradiction #45

Was it Kansas or Texas?

This contradiction is just for fun, as it is of no consequence other than to show how Bill contradicts himself, over and over again. For over a quarter of a year after Bill's supposed trip to hell, he hadn't told anyone of his experience except his mother and a friend. On page 61 of his book, Bill begins a chronology of events telling how and where he started to reach others with his message. At first he was confined to teaching in California only. He proceeds through various meetings in California. Then at a prayer meeting, Bill was asked by a pastor to go to Kansas City, "...God is doing something big in Kansas." (23 Minutes p. 65).

"The next day we received a call from Hal Linhardt, a long-time pastor in the Kansas City area, who asked if we would come out to speak at several churches... We knew God was telling us to go. After arriving in Kansas...We were delighted to get to know him and his family during our week in Kansas City...These are just a few of the numerous experiences in Kansas City.. Several years have passed since our visit to Kansas City" (23 Minutes in Hell, p. 65-67).

Pastor Raul: "Bill, God's going to do a work of revival. He's going to begin in Kansas City" (23 Minutes in Hell, Internet site, Transcript of Bill's testimony, p.2).

And so, we are told over and over that Bill's first venture out of the state of California to give his hell testimony, was in Kansas City. But then Bill informs us that, "Our first venture out of the state ( the state of California) was a little church in Texas" (23 Minutes in Hell, p. 67). "Texas?" "Texas" was their first venture out of California? Oops. What happened to Kansas City being the first venture?

Contradiction #46

Bill says that he does not "exaggerate."

Bill would have his readers believe that he is an honest person who would never lie, misrepresent, or exaggerate anything. Bill says, "I knew that most people up on the surface of the earth did not believe or even know that there was a whole world going on down here. They wouldn't believe it. But here it existed, and it was all too real. This place was so terrifying, so intense, and so hostile that it would be impossible for me to exaggerate the horror" (23 Minutes in Hell, p. 9).

Oh really? Impossible for Bill to exaggerate? Let us see:

I have an Infrared Sauna in my office which I use in my Cancer treatment. I can stand to be in it for 30 minutes at 135 degrees, after which it gets very uncomfortable. Water boils at 212 degrees. Have you ever been burned by boiling water? How would like to sit in a tub of boiling water for a few hours? Bill says it was 300 degrees where he was in hell, but he states that since hell is in the center of the earth, Scientists tell us that it is 12,000 degrees there, and, "To endure that for an eternity is unfathomable" (23 Minutes, p. 23).

No human would stand a temperature of 212 degrees for even a minute, however, Bill tells us that God will make billions of people endure TWELVE THOUSAND degree fires for all eternity, Yet Bill says, "...it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to exaggerate the horror..." Bill lies.

Have you ever seen a spider as big as a Volkswagon? How about a snake as big as a locomotive? Well Bill says that he saw such creatures. When did God ever create such monsters? Why has no one ever seen one? Yet Bill tells us that, "...it would be impossible for me to exaggerate the horror..."

Bill turns a $100 fine reported on one book and turns it into a twenty-five thousand dollar fine in his book. Yet Bill says, "...it would be impossible for me to exaggerate..."

Bill tells of a man who had $700 worth of outstanding traffic tickets. When brought before a judge, he offered the $700 to pay his fines, but the judge refused his money and put him in jail. Likewise, Bill says that any sin (he gives example of telling a white lie or stealing something no matter the value) not repented of will land that person in hell, FOREVER. He says, "Think of it - if you died right now, you would end up in hell forever" (23 Minutes, p. 76).

So Bill justifies God sending a person to 12,000 degree fires of hell for all eternity, if he has lied or stolen anything, even of virtually no value. I can see it now - -Charlie asks Sharon why she has been sentenced to eternity in hell.

Charles asks: "Sharon, what are you doing here in hell? What vile and evil things have you done in life to justify your fate of suffering in this hellhole of eternal torture?" Sharon replies: "I once took a paperclip at work to hold my personal papers together. I didn't get permission, but was going to tell my boss about it the next day. Unfortunately, I died that night." Charles shouts: "What? You took someone's property with permission? You stole a paperclip? You thief! Burn in hell for all eternity you miserable, low-down, evil person!!"

Yet Bill says, "...it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to exaggerate..." I could go on for ten more pages of just such stupid and evil exaggerations from Bill's book, but I think you get the point. It might seem reasonable to charge Satan with such over-the-top evil as torturing most of humanity for all eternity, but to charge our Creator God with such insane atrocities, is the ultimate blasphemy!
