Contradiction #30

Bill tells us why Jesus took him to experience the horrors of the Christian hell:

"My next thought was, 'Why did You send me to this awful place?' Before I could ask the question, He answered. 'Because many people do not believe that hell truly exists. Even some of my own people do not believe that hell is real.' I was amazed to hear that some Christians do not believe that hell is real... The teachings are very clear that hell is a place of eternal torment" (23 Minutes, p. 33).

If at the end of the twentieth century, Bill is sent to tell the world and "God's Own people," that there is this terrible place called hell, that they must avoid at all cost, what pray tell will happen to all those millions and billions who have never heard of Jesus or hell? Were they not worth warning and saving? Some ignorant theologians suggest that they didn't need Jesus to be saved. That they will be judged according to what knowledge they did have. Oh really? And do they have chapter and verse on that? No, they don't.

Theologian John Hagee teaches to this day, that Jews who do not accept Jesus as their Messiah and Saviour can nonetheless be saved by following the Old Testament Covenant - they don't need Jesus to be saved? And world-known theologian, teacher, and minister, the late Dr. D. James Kennedy, likewise says, that people around the world who have not known Jesus can be saved if they live a godly life without Jesus. Does he have a Scripture for that bit of Christian heresy? No, he doesn't. But I have a Scripture:

"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders ( rejected by the nation of Israel) , which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST be saved" (Acts 4:10-12). Liars, all of them!

Either we are saved "by the Name of Jesus Christ," or we will not be saved at all. But the Good News Gospel is that all WILL learn that name and all WILL worship Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. And yes, I have a Scripture on that too:

"And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and those in earth, and those under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ IS Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:8-11).

There it is. Those verses totally contradict the whole "eternal torture in fire" doctrine. Will you believe it? Back to Bill:

"During the next year, there were times when I would get irritated with people who say they don't believe in Jesus, heaven, or hell. When you know the truth, you want so desperately to convince others that hell is real and that Jesus is their only way out. Sometimes I would simply run short of patience, because I know where they are going if they don't listen" (23 Minutes in Hell, p. 48).

So Bill was taken to hell by Jesus so that he could tell the whole world that hell is real and that they need Jesus or they will all go to hell. And it so frustrated Bill that people didn't believe his story about an eternal hell of insane torture. I mean, after all, why wouldn't they believe Bill's story? Wasn't it convincing? Didn't it seem sensible and rational?

After all, didn't it seem the just thing for God to do to unfortunate people who just didn't have the faith to believe Bill's over-the-top rendition of thirteen foot tall human-like reptilian monsters who got their pleasure and entertainment from tearing the flesh off of people and pulling their arms and legs off, all the while dying of thirst with no air to breath in twelve thousand degree fire? I mean, Bill was convinced...wasn't he? WASN'T HE? Let us see what this lying turkey has to say regarding the validity of his own story. Bill starts Chapter 7 with the heading:

Why should you believe me?

"I can appreciate and understand why you might be skeptical in regard to my experience. I KNOW I WOULD BE" (23 Minutes in Hell, p. 87).

What? Bill says he "gets irritated" with those who do not believe in his hell, and then turns around and tells us that he would be "skeptical" himself of his own story. Is Bill seriously trying to tell us that Jesus expects people to believe Bill's fabled, unscriptural rendition of a pagan hell perpetrated by the Christian Church, Muslims, and others, when Bill himself has a problem believing it and it is he himself that supposedly experienced this awful place so that he could convince skeptics of its reality? Can you not see the total contradictory nonsense of his story? There is nothing consistent in his story, and all of his stories and supposed experiences contradict all of the Scriptures, besides contradicting all the major laws of science and physics.

Bill concedes that not even "conservative Bible teachers" would believe his story: "I came from a conservative background where I received sound biblical teaching from conservative Bible teachers who would probably shun my experience ... many of them would have an incredulous opinion about God taking someone there for an experience such as the one I had. AND I WOULD AGREE, for I too have been skeptical of such 'experiences' in the past" (p. 87). Yet, Bill expects people to believe what even he finds (to use his own word) "incredulous!"

Bill tries to reinforce his story by adding: "Yet the fact remains that this did occur to me, and Scripture supports that such an experience could take place" (p. 87).

NO, the fact is that this story of Bill's did NOT occur and I assure you that Scripture does not support one word of Bills contradictory nonsense.

One more doubt from Bill's own mouth: "Then the thought crossed my mind, Why would anyone believe me? They will think I had a bad dream or that I am crazy" ( Or even worse, we might think what Bill really is is a lying, two-faced hypocrite) (23 Minutes in Hell, p. 35).

I don't mean to be too hard on Bill, but I am completely honest when I say that his book is the most disgusting, deranged piece of religious slime that I have read in years. He makes a mockery of God's love and justice and the Holy Scriptures.
