- Amos' occupation was that of a herdsman and a cultivator or sycamore trees.
- The only place the word "chapel" is used in the Bible is found in Amos 7:13. It refers to Bethel as the King's Chapel.
- Amos predicted an earthquake.
- The messages of Amos:
"Can two walk together except they be agreed" - Amos 3:3
"Prepare to meet thy God." - Amos 4:12
Amos had five visions:
- The Vision of the Grasshoppers
- The Vision of the Fire
- The Vision of the Plumbline
