Back to Through The Bible

LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things that are too high for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever (Psa 131:1-3).

Lord, I am just a simple person. I am not complex. I don't try to deal with those matters that are above me or beyond my capacities in order that I might look sophisticated or wise or whatever. God, You know I'm just a simple person. My heart isn't haughty.

I'm not... I don't look loftily at people as though I am something. I know, God, the truth about myself. I know I am nothing. I'm just like a child, Lord, like a nursing child. My hope is in You forever.
