+ | ==How Do I Find a Good Church? (John MacArthur)==
+ | |||
+ | What are the biblical criteria you need to be aware of when considering a new church? Let's compare the search for a new church to that of a new home. When looking for a house, people typically ask, How much does it cost? Is it large enough to meet our family's needs? How well is it built? What kind of neighborhood is it in? Does it have a warm and homey atmosphere? Is it conducive to hospitality? Similarly, before choosing a church home you need to consider its foundation, structure, function, andenvironment.
+ | |||
+ | Before we consider those important components, please realize that no church is going to be perfect. Some local churches may be in seemingly excellent condition, while others are obvious fixer-uppers! Many fall omewhere in between. You must seek God's will and be led by the Holy Spirit in selecting a church. Also you need to evaluate how you and your family can contribute to that ministry so it is not just another church, but truly a church home...

+ | |||
+ | It's the thirteenth chapter then of the gospel of Mark. As we come to this section before us, we are with our Lord Jesus and the disciples sitting on the Mount of Olives. It is the end of the day on Wednesday of Passion Week. On Friday He will die on the cross. On Sunday He will rise. On Thursday He will prepare for the Passover and celebrate the Passover meal Thursday evening with His disciples. And that's where the betrayal will occur, that night, and it will all come to fruition on Friday, He will be tried, He will be executed on the cross, as I said, to rise on Sunday.
+ | |||
+ | So in a very real sense, this is a very, very important moment for our Lord. His final day of public teaching has been concluded, spent the whole day in the temple. He arrived in Jerusalem on Monday. On Tuesday He went in to attack and assault the temple and threw out the buyers and sellers that were there and prepared that temple for His entrance on Wednesday. Went in and used that full day to teach the truth in that place, first time in hundreds of years the truth had dominated the temple. But for a day He taught His final lessons, His final messages....

+ | ==The End of the Universe, Part 1 (2 Peter 3) John MacArthur==
+ | |||
+ | It was a couple of weeks ago that I gave a message on the theology of creation and I told you that I was intending to give you two messages, one on the beginning and another one on the end. The theology, if you will, of creation and the theology of uncreation, a message on the beginning of the universe and then a message on the end of the universe, how it all began and how it will all end.
+ | |||
+ | It is God alone who knows how it all began because He alone was there when it was created. It is God alone who knows how it will all end because only God knows the future and not only does God know the future but God determines the future as He has determined the past, is determining the present.
+ | |||
+ | And so, in order for us to understand origins, beginnings, and for us to understand endings, for us to understand creation or consummation, we have to turn to the revelation that God has given to us. All we know about creation is what God has told us. And all we know about consummation is all that God has told us....

+ | ==The Theology of Creation (Selected Scriptures) John MacArthur==
+ | |||
+ | On Sunday nights here at Grace Church for many months, we have been dealing with very important matters of theology, great doctrines that are critical for our understanding of the Christian faith, and therefore our service to the Lord. And tonight I want to embrace one that is certainly foundational, I want to call it, "The Theology of Creation...The Theology of Creation." Creation is a theological issue, not a scientific issue. Theology is the only source from which we have any information about creation. Any study of creation must come in the framework of theology because it is a word from God.
+ | |||
+ | Theology, by the way, used to be called the queen of the sciences. It was called the queen of the sciences because in the final analysis the ultimate reigning truth is theology. Biblical theology, the revelation of God in Scripture, trumps all other sources of information and knowledge. And so, for centuries creation was a theological issue, not a scientific one. And then came Darwin and Darwin confiscated the subject of creation out of the realm of theology and tried to put into the realm of human knowledge and did no service to mankind.
+ | |||
+ | If we want to understand creation, if we want to understand origins, if we want to understand how the universe came into existence and everything that is in it, we have to look at theology, not science. And the source of theology is the Word of God in which God speaks. The Bible is not theory, the Bible is fact. The Bible is reality. The Bible is truth no matter what subject it addresses, but particularly with regard to origins since no one was here when God created, we have only His eyewitness account....

Romans 1:24-25 August 23, 1981
Let's look together at Romans chapter 1 and I want to read for you the setting for our message tonight, verses 24 through 32... Romans 1:24 to 32.

The Scandal of Grace - Part 1 by John MacArthur
The work and ministry of sermonindex can be encapsulated in this one word: REVIVAL. sermonindex is not a organisation, business, or any attempt by man to build something for God. It is rather a expression of a heart burden to see the Church revived and brought back to holiness, purity, and power with God. "The mission of SermonIndex is the preservation and propogation of classical vintage preaching and the promotion of genuine biblical revival to this generation."

1 Timothy 2:12-15 (New American Standard Bible)
12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.
13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.
14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
15 But women will be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint.

The Truth about Divorce, Part 1 (Mark 10:1-12) John MacArthur
We are going to address the subject of divorce because it is the theme of our Lord's teaching in Mark chapter 10...Mark chapter 10. We're going to be looking at the twelve verses that launch this chapter and it's going to be in two parts, one this morning and another one next Sunday. So I'm going to let you know that so that you're not wondering why I haven't gotten to all of the issues that relate to this theme. I'm unable to do that until next Sunday and we'll finish up this text next Sunday morning. And then next Sunday evening, I'm going to add a special message on the issue of divorce from 1 Corinthians chapter 7. That will give you the full picture of what the Scripture teaches about divorce. We've also put a little notice in Grace Today about the book, The Divorce Dilemma, which is a handy guide to take you through the Scripture to help you understand these issues.
We're in Mark chapter 10, The Truth About Divorce. Now if you ask the question, how does God view divorce? There is a short answer. The short answer is given by God Himself in Malachi, the last prophecy at the end of your Old Testament, chapter 2 verse 16 where God says, "I hate divorce... I hate divorce." That is God's attitude toward a widely accepted, extremely popular and time-honored institution in human society...God hates divorce....

Why We Believe While Others Reject (1 Corinthians 1:18-2:16)
It was about 25 years ago in my life that I was asked to write a little book and the original title of that little book was Focus on Fact, you've probably never seen it, it didn't last very long. It came out in another edition with another title a couple of years later and that title was Why I Trust The Bible, it was 1983. And as I was preparing to write that book about why I trust the Bible, which is really what the first one was about as well, I had to answer the question why did I trust the Bible. What was it about the truth of Scripture that made it believable to me? Was I smarter than everybody else? Had I been presented a more powerful set of evidences about Scripture? And certainly such can be presented. Why did I have such immense confidence in the Bible?
I can remember in my college days when very little appealed to me other than an athletic event. When I found my greatest joy on a football field, that even then I had complete confidence in the Word of God. I actually couldn't wait to get to seminary. And when I decided that I would give up an athletic career and opportunity on a professional level to go off to seminary, some of my athletes, athletic friends and coaches, couldn't understand the reason. And it really wasn't that I had a drive to preach or a drive to teach. I had this compelling longing to dig into the Word of God and understand what it means because I was unequivocally committed to its truthfulness. Where did that come from? Why was I so convinced of the truth of Scripture? I hadn't studied apologetics or defenses of Scripture. I hadn't read a lot of that. There was just in my heart a complete commitment to the Word of God.
And when I sat down to think about why I trusted the Bible, I looked at some passages of Scripture that came into play. I remembered that Jesus had said to Peter in Matthew 16, "Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven." And that the reason that Peter knew that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God, was because of divine disclosure, divine revelation. And then I looked at 1 Corinthians chapter 12 and verse 3 which says, "No man can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Spirit of God." It is reasonable to me to say that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. It is reasonable to me to say Jesus is Lord. But no one can say that as reasonable as it now appears to me to be unless the Father discloses it and the Spirit reveals it....

Why Sunday Is the Lord's Day (Selected Scriptures) John MacArthur
It's good to be back to open the Word of God.
When I'm not here I miss being in the church profoundly. And I try my best to find some experience that will substitute for Grace Church. When I was confined at home and I couldn't really go anywhere, which is pretty much been the way it has worked out since surgery, I was sort of left to either have a member of my family set up a computer so that I could get the audio from Grace which I absolutely loved and didn't happen often enough for me. But on those other occasions, I found myself trying to find something on television that would fill in. And that was a very difficult challenge.
I want you to know that the Scripture in my mind is profound. It is just profound. It is unsearchably rich. It is deep. As to excel all ideas, all philosophies, all opinions, all insights by all human beings put together. And yet I found it almost impossible to find anybody who would just mind the depths of Scripture.
Opinions, plenty of them. Insights, plenty of them. But it was almost impossible to find someone who understood the beauty and loftiness of Scripture. Superficial preaching betrays a weak view of Scripture, a superficial understanding of its great, great treasures. So it's good to be here and it's good to be with those I love and by whom I'm loved here at Grace Church....

What to Look for in a Pastor (Selected Scriptures)
I want to come to you, maybe on a little more personal level if I can in this session. When you get to be my age, you can kind of do whatever you want I guess, and I just want to talk to you a little bit from my heart.
I understand the spiritual battle with sin. I understand that, because I've lived it for a long, long time. I understand how difficult it is to live a holy life. I understand how difficult it is to maintain pure thoughts, holy thoughts, God exalting, Christ honoring thoughts. I understand how difficult it is to guard your tongue; to not say unkind things, hurtful things, sarcastic things, painful things. I understand that you lose that battle. You lose all those battles through the years.
I understand how difficult it is to be godly, the most intimate environment of your life, in your marriage, with the wife you love and cherish, with your children, with the people that are closest to you. I understand what it is to disappoint the Lord, and to bear the sadness of your own soul over those disappointments that are frequent, tragically. I understand what it is to live in Romans 7, and to do what I don't want to do and not do what I want to do.
I understand what it is to be involved in sins of overt action and sins of covert action. I understand what it is to sin by not doing the thing that you ought to have done, by leaving great and needful and righteous things undone, while you preoccupy yourself with trivial things. I understand the spiritual battle. I've lived it. I've lived long enough to try to help other people fight this fight as well....

The Grim Reality of the last days ´ John macarthur preaching
John macarthur is going to speak about islam in the middle of the Video . Min 34:25 Islam's Ancient Hatred for the jews " While islam envisions the day when christians and jews will convert to islam en masse , islam's end time narrative makes a distinction between the final destiny of christians and that of jews . In islam's version of the last days , we see that all christians will either accept Islam or be killed . Certainly , when we look at this final picture , it is impossible to say that islam has any real affinity for Christians or Christianity . But when analyzing Islamic teaching and traditions about the Jews , one gets a very cold feeling that the only destiny that islam has marked out for Jews is that of an absolute and total slaughter .
We see in the islamic traditions a dark and very persistent hatred for Jews nearly identical to the ideology expressed through Nazism . The Quran and the Islamic traditions fully support and nurture this ideology of hatred . For instance , Speaking of Jews , the Quran says , Sura 5:64 , Amongst them we ( allah ) have placed enmity and hatred till the day of judgement . Evry time they kindle the fire of war , Allah doth extinguish it ; but they ( ever ) strive to do mischief on earth . And allah loveth not those who do mischief __ this verse makes it clear that there will be " enmity and hatred against the Jews until the very end of the present age .
So much for those who claim that the Quran's scorn for Jews is limited only to specific historical incidences in Muhammad's career . Not only does the Quran portray Jews as those who start wars and cause general mischief on earth , but it also claims that Allah was so disgusted by the jews that he cursed them and transformed many of them into " Apes & swine ," assigning them the lowest rank among human kind , Sura 7:166 , When in their insolence they transgressed ( all ) prohibitions , we said to them ; Be ye apes despised and rejected , Sura 5:60 , Those who incurred the Curse of Allah and his wrath those of whom some he transformed into apes and swine those whom worshipped evil these are ( many times ) worse in rank and far more astray from the even path , Sura 2:65 , And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the sabbath ; we said to them " be ye apes despised and rejected _ Even Muhammed said one,s _ Sahih bukhari Muslim book ( hadith also called Sunna,s ) ,
Volume 4 Book 52 Number 176 , The last hour would not come unless the muslims will fight against the jews and the muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or tree would say muslim servant of allah there is a jew behind me ; come and kill him , but the tree Gharqad would not say for it is the tree of the Jews _ And eventualy through the Antichrist and the false Prophet and their future empire which is prophesied very clearly by the prophets Zechariah and Ezekiel to Attack Jerusalem and Kill two thirds of the inhabitans of the Nation of Israel ( Zechariah 13:8:9 Ezekiel38 ), So dont be Deceived by Chrislam because the Quran says also , Sura 19:88:92 , Those whom say That allah have a son speak a monsterous falsehood let allah's, curse be upon them how they are deluted away from the truth (Islam ) " But The Bible says , 1 John 2:22 , Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is The Christ he is Antichrist that denieth the father and the Son
So Stay away from Chrislam Let this be a Clear warning !!!!!! if you see a preacher with a Quran on The Pulpit of your Church unless he give a reverence That Islam is Antichrist Like what you can see above , Sura 19:88:92
Bible 1 John 2:22 , if he is not doing That i Recommend that you Run away from That Church unless you are willing to step up and Rebuke this man if he is not lissen to it Run if he says for Example Oh islam is not so bad , Oh realy , Sura 9:29 , Fight Those whom believe not in allah nor the Messenger ( Muhammed ) even if they not believe in the last day even if they are the people of the book ( Christians & Jews ) unless the pay the Jizyah and are Subdued _ because islam is indeed Antichrist here is the secret for those whom understand the book of revelation , Rev 11:2 , But the Court which is without the temple leave it out and measure it not for it is given unto the gentiles ( Muslims dome of the rock ) , and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months .
if i go a little further to the book of Rev 13 , its says about the beast ( Antichrist ) , Rev 13:4:5 , it says _ And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast , and they worshipped the beast saying who is like unto the beast ? , who is able to make war with him ? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months _ same as Rev 11:2 , says " so yes islam is the Final Antichrist empire

Are Catholics Saved? - John MacArthur
Catholics have been duped into believing that salvation thru Jesus Christ alone is not enough but must also consist of a combination of sacraments, rituals, purgatory, prayers to the spirits of Mary and saints, Eucharist, infant baptism, idol worship, etc. THE EARLY CHURCH DID NOT PRACTICE THESE TRADITIONS OF MEN NOR DOES THE WORD OF GOD TEACH US TO DO THESE THINGS. The Reformation came about because men of God would no longer tolerate these false teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic system. The Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ ALONE and that He is sufficient for the atonement of all our sins, (past, present and future). Please listen along as Pastor John MacArthur examines the pope and the papacy. Like & subscribe? For more info on the false teachings of the Roman Catholic church visit:

MacArthur: Charismatics / Pentecostals are not Christians (Strange Fire
A short clip from in Strange Fire Conference Q&A in which John MacArthur declares that people in the Charismatic or Pentecostal movement are not saved. Todd Friel attempts to have him clarify that some might be saved, but MacArthur doubles down and goes on to compare them to Mormons that also claim to be Christians.
Sorry the audio and video are a bit off.

How Do I Find a Good Church? (John MacArthur)
What are the biblical criteria you need to be aware of when considering a new church? Let's compare the search for a new church to that of a new home. When looking for a house, people typically ask, How much does it cost? Is it large enough to meet our family's needs? How well is it built? What kind of neighborhood is it in? Does it have a warm and homey atmosphere? Is it conducive to hospitality? Similarly, before choosing a church home you need to consider its foundation, structure, function, andenvironment.
Before we consider those important components, please realize that no church is going to be perfect.

The Future Tribulation (Mark 13:14-23) John MacArthur
It's the thirteenth chapter then of the gospel of Mark.
So in a very real sense, this is a very, very important moment for our Lord.

The End of the Universe, Part 1 (2 Peter 3) John MacArthur
It was a couple of weeks ago that I gave a message on the theology of creation and I told you that I was intending to give you two messages, one on the beginning and another one on the end. The theology, if you will, of creation and the theology of uncreation, a message on the beginning of the universe and then a message on the end of the universe, how it all began and how it will all end.
It is God alone who knows how it all began because He alone was there when it was created. It is God alone who knows how it will all end because only God knows the future and not only does God know the future but God determines the future as He has determined the past, is determining the present.
And so, in order for us to understand origins, beginnings, and for us to understand endings, for us to understand creation or consummation, we have to turn to the revelation that God has given to us. All we know about creation is what God has told us. And all we know about consummation is all that God has told us....

The Theology of Creation (Selected Scriptures) John MacArthur
On Sunday nights here at Grace Church for many months, we have been dealing with very important matters of theology, great doctrines that are critical for our understanding of the Christian faith, and therefore our service to the Lord.
Theology, by the way, used to be called the queen of the sciences.
If we want to understand creation, if we want to understand origins, if we want to understand how the universe came into existence and everything that is in it, we have to look at theology, not science. And the source of theology is the Word of God in which God speaks. The Bible is not theory, the Bible is fact. The Bible is reality. The Bible is truth no matter what subject it addresses, but particularly with regard to origins since no one was here when God created, we have only His eyewitness account....
