People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.</em><br><br>

− | + | <strong><em>“There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.”</em></strong> (1 Co 12:5-11)<br><br>
− | + | The Jesus Seminar meets every year to discredit the Bible. There are groups today that teach that miracles disappeared with the Apostles and that there is no healing available through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary. But My Bible says:<br><br>
− | + | <strong>a) Jesus does not change:</strong><br><br>
− | + | “<strong><em>Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. The same Jesus that healed all that came to Him with a repentant heart and faith as small as a mustard seed were healed.” </em></strong>(Heb 13:8)<br><br>

− | + | <strong><em>“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. − | + | <strong>JESUS DOES HEAL TODAY!</strong><br><br>
− | + | I know that God heals today. I have seen it with my own eyes. Since teaching this series on healing in my home church, God has begun to move in a powerful way. The graduates of the class gather after the 10:00 P.M. service to pray for the sick. In a few short months following the class, and over the summer, while the class was going on, several healings occurred as we ministered in faith. A Brain tumour disappeared. More than one serious lower back problem disappeared. A shoulder frozen for four years popped free when he raised his arms to praise the Lord (we prayed that God would heal His Diabetes—Does God have a sense of humour?). A man was prophesied over that when he went in for surgery to remove a Colon tumour “that the doctors would immediately close him up because the tumour would disappear” (and it did). <br><br>
− | + | Arthritis in a woman’s hands disappeared (except for the tip of the little finger - perhaps a reminder of what God had done). Teeth pain disappeared. A man suffering for years with undiagnosed severe and debilitating intestinal problems was healed when he was delivered from spiritual oppression. A broken toe was healed. A “mentally challenged” young man was suddenly able to read and began to read the Bible and started to grow in faith. A lady who had sustained a head injury and could not read was restored after healing prayer.<br><br>
− | + | <strong>God is faithful to His word!</strong><br><br>
− | + | Many long hours and prayer went into this study. It presents what I believe to be a balanced approach to Biblical healing. When I taught this study, I generally played testimony tapes of people who were healed or delivered. This was done to highlight the Biblical principles that were at work and to build faith that God is faithful to His word. Although I cannot do this here, I pray that you will be edified, encouraged, and thrilled to learn that all things are possible in Jesus’ name. There are 15 lessons in this Bible Study.<br><br>
− | + | God brings healing in many ways:<br><br>
− | + | <strong> 1) God manifests healing through “Power Evangelism” (as it is called today) as a witness to the un-saved and to confirm His word that was preached is true.</strong><br><br>
− | + | God heals unbelieving seekers as a demonstration of the power of the gospel and as a witness that His word that was preached is true. <br><br>
− | + | <strong><em>“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:15b-18)</em></strong><br><br>
− | + | Notice that:<br><br>
− | + | Signs and wonders <strong><u>follow</u></strong> the preaching of God’s word. (Does you or your church preach the “good news” before asking God to heal?)<br><br>
− | + | Jesus’ command to “Go into all the world and preach, heal and deliver” was given to his disciples (Are you a true disciple? There are requirements and we will speak of them later in this series)<br><br>
− | + | <strong>2) God makes healing available through certain members of the Body of Christ through whom the Holy Spirit of God manifests “gift<u>s</u> of healing<u>s</u>”</strong> (1 Cor 12:9)<br><br>
− | + | Notice that the Biblical text uses the plural form. There are different gifts for different kinds of healing. We have to be careful here. While it is true that God empowers certain individuals within the Body of Christ with specific anointing for specific kinds of healing, we must be sure not to “limit the Holy One of Israel.” If the Lord has called you to be an instrument of HIS HEALING GRACE, you will probably notice in time that the Lord uses you more to administer healing for certain kinds of sickness and disease. However, it is best not to generally make this known as it can dampen someone’s faith when you pray for a particular illness that is not the one for which you have “special anointing.” This can limit their faith and YOUR FAITH as well. Remember it is God’s healing, we are just His Disciples, accomplishing His will, in accordance to His word, as His Ambassadors of Love.<br><br>
− | + | <strong>3) God makes healing available to every born-again child of God through faith in His word and faith in God (</strong>Matthew 15:22-26 - Healing is the children’s bread)<br><br>
− | + | <strong>The Faith of the Canaanite Woman</strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong><em>“Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.” Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the <u>children’s bread</u> and toss it to their dogs.” “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.”</em></strong><strong> (Matt 15:21-28)</strong><br><br>
− | + | By these words Christ indicated that healing is <strong><u>the children’s bread</u></strong>; in other words, it is part of God’s provision for all <strong><u>His</u></strong> children.<br><br>
− | + | One requirement for receiving God’s promises is that you are God’s child, but I want you to notice that Jesus responded to this woman’s faith, <u>even though she was not a “believer</u>.” Faith is a primary ingredient in the Biblical recipe for divine healing to occur. <br><br>
− | + | <strong>4) God uses Physicians, but first go to God (2 Chron 16:11-13)</strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong><em>“The events of Asa’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the LORD, but only from the physicians. Then in the forty-first year of his reign Asa died and rested with his fathers</em></strong>.” (2 Chron 16:11-13)<br><br>
− | + | God does use physicians to bring healing. God invented the profession, Luke was a physician, etc. Sometimes God uses doctors to bring healing. The reasons for this are His own, however, the above text makes it clear that before going to a doctor, if at all possible possible, first pray to the Lord for healing. <br><br>
− | + | <strong>5) Healing is designed in by the Creator - If I cut myself, our body is designed to heal</strong>.<br><br>
− | + | Clearly, God has designed healing into our bodies. If we cut ourselves, a miracle takes place as hundreds of chemical and biological events take place to heal the cut. However, there are limits. If eat a pound of animal fat per day, it will not be long before our bodies will no longer function. So let’s use common sense and “not put God to the test.”<br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>Biblical Points and Principals</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>1) Healing is part of the Atonement and is available to every member of the Body of Christ.</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | God performs miracles today. His healing power is available to everyone.<br><br>
− | + | <em>“By His stripes we <strong><u>were</u></strong> healed.”</em> (1 Peter 2:24)<br><br>
− | + | Healing is available through Jesus Christ because of His sacrificial death. We will discuss this further in future lessons.<br><br>
− | + | <em>“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that <strong><u>God is no respecter of persons</u></strong>”</em> (Acts 10:34)<br><br>
− | + | If God heals one person, He can heal you as well—<strong>God does not play favourites</strong>, <u>however you must fulfil the requirements of God’s Word</u>. For example, if you are in sin or operating in pride, God may not even “hear” your prayer.<br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>2) God does not want anyone to suffer and die a premature death. His will is that everyone experience physical health in this life—just as it is His will that everyone be saved.</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | 1) <em>“...I am come that they [talking about us] might have <u>life</u>, and they might have it <u>more abun</u>dantly.”</em> (John 10:10)<br><br>
− | + | 2) <em>“According to His divine Power hath <u>given us all things that pertain unto life</u>...”</em> (2 Peter 1:3)<br><br>
− | + | 3)<em> “Beloved, I wish above all things that <u>you may prosper and be in health</u>, even as thy soul prospers.” (</em>3 John 2)<br><br>
− | + | <strong> </strong><strong><u>So why are not more people divinely healed?</u></strong><u> </u><br><br>
− | + | Simply put: <strong><em>“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (</em></strong>Hosea 4:6 <strong><em>)</em></strong><br><br>
− | + | God has much to say about healing, both in demonstration and by direct instruction. However, we must recognise that not only are there prerequisites that must be met for healing to occur, but we must know and act upon our rights and privileges as sons and daughters of the Most High God. We will speak more of this later in this series.<br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>3) There is a time for healing—it isn’t always instant.</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | There is <em>“a time to kill and <strong><u>a time to heal</u></strong>, a time to tear down and a time to build…”</em> (Ecc 3:3)<br><br>
− | + | <em>“But it is through <strong>f<u>aith and patience</u></strong> that we inherit the promises</em>.” (Heb 6:12)<br><br>
− | + | In “instant America”, we do not have the patience to wait on God in unwavering faith. One man, who was healed of back problems suffered for many weeks. But he persevered in prayer and came up for healing prayer every week. God eventually moved on his behalf, completely healing his back. What he learned through this prolonged trial, or what has changed in his relationship with God as a result, is known only to him and God. But I know this: <br><br>
− | + | a) <strong><em>“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but grievous; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed</em></strong>.” (Heb 12:11-13)<br><br>
− | + | This is an interesting scripture. It tells us that chastening is an unpleasant experience, but if you learn from it, it will produce righteous fruit in your life. The phrase “make straight paths for you feet” means to stop sinning, to quit wandering off the straight and narrow path that Jesus told us leads to heaven (Matthew 7:13), that you may be healed. <strong><u>Very often, sin is a block to receiving healing from the Lord</u></strong><u>.</u> We will discuss this later in this series.<br><br>
− | + | b) <strong><em>“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.”</em></strong> (Rev 3:19)<br><br>
− | + | Here Jesus tells us that the purpose of the rebuke and chastening is to bring about repentance.<br><br>
− | + | c) <strong><em>“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.</em></strong>” (Romans 8:28) <br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>4) Perseverance is an important ingredient in the healing process</u></strong><strong>. </strong><br><br>
− | + | If your healing doesn’t come right away, never give up. <strong>Keep Asking! Persevere! Do not give up!</strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong>The Parable of the Persistent Widow</strong><br><br>
− | + | <em>“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Avenge me of my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, ‘yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ “ Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”</em> (Luke 18:1-8)<br><br>
− | + | This parable demonstrates that, in spite of the circumstances, we need to persevere in prayer and not give up. Note the last sentence: <strong><em><u>“Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” </u></em></strong><br><br>
− | + | Do you believe God at His word? Do you have true faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and His son Jesus Christ. Do you trust Him today with the little things like tithing? Or are you building a house on straw which will be ultimately be blown away when a real test of faith comes into your life?<br><br>
− | + | <strong>5)</strong> <strong><u>When it comes to God’s PROMISES, His will is always YES.</u></strong> (2 Cor 1:19-20).<br><br>
− | + | <em>“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”</em> (John 4:34)<br><br>
− | + | <em>“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.”</em> (John 6:38)<br><br>
− | + | <em>“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”</em> (John 14:10)<br><br>
− | + | <em>“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, ‘to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.’”</em> (Luke 4:18-19)<br><br>
− | + | <strong>God cannot lie. Jesus came with the authority of God. That authority was to deliver, heal, restore and set free. Not one person who came to Him in faith failed to receive their healing. </strong><br><br>
− | + | <em>“When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’ Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.”</em> (Matthew 8:1-3)<br><br>
− | + | <strong><em>“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” </em></strong>(Heb 13:8)<br><br>
− | + | The same Jesus that healed all that came to Him with a repentant heart and faith as small as a mustard seed, is the same Jesus today. Jesus never changes. He was willing to heal 2,000 years ago and He is willing to heal you today. <br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>6) Why isn’t everyone healed?</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | There are many reasons why people do not get healed and we will discussing these reasons in future lessons. But sometimes, we just cannot understand why certain people are not healed. We must understand that not only is our vision and understanding on this earth limited, but certain reasons are known only to God. <br><br>
− | + | <em>“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” </em>(1 Cor 13:12)<br><br>
− | + | <em>“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” </em>(Deut 29:29)<br><br>
− | + | <strong>The reason why some Christians fail to receive healing very often remains a secret, known only to God.</strong> It is not revealed to man. We do not need to be concerned with “secrets” such as these. Rather, we need to concern ourselves with those things which are revealed, the clear and definitive statements and promises of God given to us in His Word.<br><br>
− | + | <strong>One often overlooked reason why the righteous are seemingly taken away before their time is found in the Book of Isaiah:</strong><br><br>
− | + | <em>“The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that <strong><u>the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.</u></strong>” (Isa 57:1)</em><br><br>
− | + | <strong>Not everyone you pray for will be healed.</strong> <br><br>
− | + | Jesus himself taught that not everyone was healed or delivered. Consider Luke 4:17-27. <em>“And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, <u>and none of them was cleansed except</u> Naaman the Syrian.”</em><br><br>
− | + | <em>“Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honourable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valour, but he was a leper. And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.” And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.” So the king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” </em><br><br>
− | + | <em>So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing. Then he brought the letter to the king of Israel, which said, “Now be advised, when this letter comes to you, that I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.” And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and make alive, that this man sends a man to me to heal him of his leprosy? </em><br><br>
− | + | <em>Therefore please consider, and see how he seeks a quarrel with me.” So it was, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, “Why have you torn your clothes? Please let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.” Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’ </em><br><br>
− | + | <em>“Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage. And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.” (2 Kings 5:1-14) </em><br><br>
− | + | Let’s examine the principles evident in Naaman’s healing (2 Kings 5). This will highlight just a few of the many reasons why not everyone is healed. <br><br>
− | + | <strong>Principles:</strong><br><br>
− | + | 1) <u>Naaman did it God’s way</u>, not his own way! Naaman was asked to do some things that he thought were ridiculous, but healing must always be in accordance with God’s divine principals and timing. Remember that <em>“there is a way that seems right to a man, but its way is the way of death.” </em>(Pro 14:12) <br><br>
− | + | 2) <u>Naaman asked.</u> <em>“We have not, because we ask not.”</em> (Matt 7:7-8)<br><br>
− | + | 3) <u>Naaman humbled himself</u> and did what was required of him even though he thought it was ridiculous. “God gives grace to the humble, but opposes the proud.” (1 Peter 5:5-6) When we operate in pride and refuse to humble ourselves, God actually sets himself against us. We should not expect to receive the blessings of God when we have caused God to oppose us because of our pride. If we are too proud to admit we need help, too proud to ask forgiveness of someone we wronged, will God heal us? Remember that <u>God gives grace to the humble</u>, but opposes the proud.<br><br>
− | + | 4) <u>Naaman was obedient</u>. He finally did exactly as the prophet demanded of him. We also must also act in obedience to the Holy Spirit and to God’s Word to receive healing.<br><br>
− | + | Results:<br><br> | |
− | + | He acknowledged God.<br><br>
− | + | He was healed.<br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>7) Healing is available through Faith in God’s Word.</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | Both in Psalm 107 and in Proverbs 4, the means by which God provides healing <u>is His Word</u>. This demonstrates the truth that God Himself is in His Word, and that it is through His Word that He brings healing into our lives.<br><br>
− | + | Let examine Psalm 107:17-20<br><br>
− | + | <em>“Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. <strong><u>He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction’s.”</u></strong></em><br><br>
− | + | The Psalmist gives us a picture of men so desperately sick that they have lost all appetite for food and are lying right at death’s door. In their desperation they cry out to the Lord, and He sends them that which they cry for—healing and deliverance. <br><br>
− | + | Side by side with this passage in Psalm 107, we set the passage in Isaiah 55:11, where God says:<br><br>
− | + | <em>“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isa 55:11)</em><br><br>
− | + | So in Psalm 107:20, we read that God sent His Word to heal and to deliver; and in Isaiah 55:11, God says that His Word will accomplish the thing for which He sent it. <u>Therefore, God guarantees to provide healing through His Word, but there is more</u>—we must meditate on God’s word.<br><br>
− | + | <strong>Meditation on God’s word can bring healing.</strong> <br><br>
− | + | <em>“I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that <strong><u>I may meditate on your promises</u></strong>. Hear my voice in accordance with your love<strong>; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws</strong>. Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law. Yet you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true. Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever. Look upon my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law. Defend my cause and redeem me; <strong>preserve my life according to your promise</strong>. </em><br><br>
− | + | <em>Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek out your decrees. Your compassion is great, O LORD; preserve my life according to your laws. Many are the foes who persecute me, but I have not turned from your statutes. I look on the faithless with loathing, for they do not obey your word. See how I love your precepts; <strong>preserve my life, O LORD, according to your love</strong>. All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”</em> (Psalm 119:147-160)<br><br>
− | + | The Psalmist is totally convinced that God’s commands and promises are true, that they have not changed (they last forever), that he loves God’s law and that he has kept God’s law (he hasn’t sinned). It is on this basis that the Psalmist petitions God. <strong>Notice that the</strong> <strong>Psalmist is uttering aloud the promises of God</strong> from His Holy Scripture. Speaking God’s word is Biblical. Jesus himself told us that he did not say or do anything He had not heard from the Father. Jesus, as the Creator, spoke the Universe into existence with a word. <br><br>
− | + | When Jesus was tempted by Satan, Jesus quoted the Word of God (out loud) to Satan.<br><br>
− | + | We need to speak the God’s Word out loud.<br><br>
− | + | In Joshua, we find additional confirmation of this important principal.<br><br>
− | + | <em>“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; <u>meditate on it day and night</u>, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”</em> (Joshua 1:8)<br><br>
− | + | The word “<strong>meditate”</strong> used in both these passages is the Hebrew word “siyach,” meaning “to ponder,i.e. (by impl.) converse (with oneself, and hence aloud) or (trans.) utter.”<br><br>
− | + | <strong>We need to speak the promises of God out loud.</strong><br><br>
− | + | But there is another reason to quote God’s Word out loud. It is to build our faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God<br><br>

− | + | See James1:2-8. “<u>If you doubt, do not expect to receive anything from the Lo</u>rd.”<br><br>
− | + | Hebrews 11:1 tells us that <u>faith is a substance that gives us the ability to “see” beyond what is currently perceived.</u> The fact that we are to “walk by Faith and not by sight” is a recognition of this truth that what we see in the physical is subservient to the spiritual or supernatural. It is a God-like quality—our God “calls things those things which do not exist as though they did.” Romans 4:17<br><br>
− | + | <u>Never look at the circumstances</u>. Rather fix your gaze on the author and finisher of your faith. <strong>Never give up, and above all, do not give ground to a spirit of fear. Trust Jesus!</strong> <br><br>
− | + | <u>All believers are given a measure of faith</u>. (Romans 12:3)<br><br>
− | + | How do we build our faith? “F<u>aith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)</u><br><br>
− | + | <u>But, passive faith is not Biblical faith!</u> Biblical faith is faith in action. It is a faith that gives birth to action on our part. That faith may cause us to utter the promises of God out loud, or to be obedient to the Spirit of God. Faith is faith in action. Faith without works (action) is a dead faith (James 2:17-20) <br><br>
− | + | Consider the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years (Mark 5:25-34, Matthew 9:20-22, Luke 8:43-48) Did she not put her faith into action?<u> She was healed only when she acted on her faith and touched His prayer shawl</u>.<br><br> We must ask God for what we need, but <u>we must ask in faith <strong>and with the right motives</strong></u><strong>.</strong><br><br>
− | + | <em>“You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives.”</em> (James 4:2b-3a)<br><br>
− | + | <em>“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”</em> (Hebrews 11:6)<br><br>
− | + | <strong><u>Biblical Faith also requires that we do not doubt</u></strong><strong>:</strong><br><br>
− | + | Matthew 21:20-22 - “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, <strong><u>if you have faith and do not doubt</u></strong>, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. <strong><u>If you believe</u></strong>, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”<br><br>
− | + | <strong>How much active faith do you need for healing to occur??</strong> <br><br>
− | + | Faith as small as a mustard seed. (Mat 17:14-20)<br><br>
− | + | <u>However, in some cases faith is not enough</u>. <strong><u>Prayer and fasting</u></strong> is required, as well. See Mark 9:29 - So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.” Much sickness is caused by demonic activity - Satan came to kill, to steal and to destroy (John 10:10) We must never give the devil a foothold (legal ground) in our life. This could lead to sickness or disease. We will deal with this subject in later lessons.<br><br>
− | + | <strong>9)<u> Persistent unrepented sin is a serious problem in receiving healing.</u></strong><br><br>
− | + | Consider Paul’s words to the Corinthian Church, as recorded in 1 Cor 5:1-5:<br><br>
− | + | <em>“It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife. And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgement on the one who did this, just as if I were present. When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.”</em><br><br>
− | + | In this case of sexual immorality, Paul says that this person should be handed over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. In other words, because of his unrepentant sin, his flesh will be destroyed by Satan (the author of sickness and disease) so he will come to repentance and everlasting life.<br><br>
− | + | As we will learn in the days ahead, sin is a serious problem in the physical realm as well as in the spiritual realm<strong>. Sin opens a door which can lead to sickness.</strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong>THEREFORE, REPENT AND TRUST JESUS. HE NEVER FAILS!</strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong>Would you like to receive Jesus into your life and thereby become a son or daughter of God? Hen you must ask Jesus to save you from your sins, to come into your heart, to be the master of your life, and to not only take you to heaven when you die, but give you abundant life here on earth. So if you are not sure of your salvation today, and the desire of your heart is for Jesus Christ to come into your life to be your Lord and Saviour, make this your prayer: </strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong>Dear Lord, I am a sinner. I confess my sins to you and right now ask you to forgive my every sin. I invite you right now to come into my life, to be my Lord and my Saviour. Thank you for coming into my life. May I never be the same again. Make me a new person in Jesus Christ. I thank you in Jesus name. Amen. </strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong>If you have prayed this prayer, please let us know by EMAIL. It would be a real blessing to us. </strong><br><br>
− | + | <strong><em>“Watch and pray, therefore, that you would be counted worthy to escape the judgement that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36). </em></strong> <br><br>

Healing According to Biblical Principles
Behold, I set thee a Watchman on the Wall” (Isaiah 62:6)
HEALING ACCORDING TO BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES</u>
As taught at Faith Chapel, Syracuse, N.Y.
By: Vince Aquilino
What does Healing have to do with Prophecy?
<u>In the end-times we are told there will a church which has a form of Godliness but denies the power thereof.</u>
2TI 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. Have nothing to do with them.
<u>What power is being denied?</u>
“There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.” (1 Co 12:5-11)
The Jesus Seminar meets every year to discredit the Bible. There are groups today that teach that miracles disappeared with the Apostles and that there is no healing available through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary. But My Bible says:
a) Jesus does not change:
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. The same Jesus that healed all that came to Him with a repentant heart and faith as small as a mustard seed were healed.” (Heb 13:8)
b) The “Gifts of Healings” have not passed away (and neither will prophecy, etc., until perfection comes)
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.” (1 Cor 13:8-10)
JESUS DOES HEAL TODAY!
I know that God heals today.
Arthritis in a woman’s hands disappeared (except for the tip of the little finger - perhaps a reminder of what God had done). A lady who had sustained a head injury and could not read was restored after healing prayer.
God is faithful to His word!
Many long hours and prayer went into this study. There are 15 lessons in this Bible Study.
God brings healing in many ways:
1) God manifests healing through “Power Evangelism” (as it is called today) as a witness to the un-saved and to confirm His word that was preached is true.
God heals unbelieving seekers as a demonstration of the power of the gospel and as a witness that His word that was preached is true.
“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:15b-18)
Notice that:
Signs and wonders <u>follow</u> the preaching of God’s word. (Does you or your church preach the “good news” before asking God to heal?)
Jesus’ command to “Go into all the world and preach, heal and deliver” was given to his disciples (Are you a true disciple? There are requirements and we will speak of them later in this series)
2) God makes healing available through certain members of the Body of Christ through whom the Holy Spirit of God manifests “gift<u>s</u> of healing<u>s</u>” (1 Cor 12:9)
Notice that the Biblical text uses the plural form. Remember it is God’s healing, we are just His Disciples, accomplishing His will, in accordance to His word, as His Ambassadors of Love.
3) God makes healing available to every born-again child of God through faith in His word and faith in God (Matthew 15:22-26 - Healing is the children’s bread)
The Faith of the Canaanite Woman
“Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” (Matt 15:21-28)
By these words Christ indicated that healing is <u>the children’s bread</u>; in other words, it is part of God’s provision for all <u>His</u> children.
One requirement for receiving God’s promises is that you are God’s child, but I want you to notice that Jesus responded to this woman’s faith, <u>even though she was not a “believer.” Faith is a primary ingredient in the Biblical recipe for divine healing to occur.
4) God uses Physicians, but first go to God (2 Chron 16:11-13)
“The events of Asa’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the LORD, but only from the physicians. Then in the forty-first year of his reign Asa died and rested with his fathers.” (2 Chron 16:11-13)
God does use physicians to bring healing. God invented the profession, Luke was a physician, etc. Sometimes God uses doctors to bring healing. The reasons for this are His own, however, the above text makes it clear that before going to a doctor, if at all possible possible, first pray to the Lord for healing.
5) Healing is designed in by the Creator - If I cut myself, our body is designed to heal.
Clearly, God has designed healing into our bodies. If we cut ourselves, a miracle takes place as hundreds of chemical and biological events take place to heal the cut. However, there are limits. If eat a pound of animal fat per day, it will not be long before our bodies will no longer function. So let’s use common sense and “not put God to the test.”
Biblical Points and Principals
1) Healing is part of the Atonement and is available to every member of the Body of Christ.
God performs miracles today. His healing power is available to everyone.
“By His stripes we were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
Healing is available through Jesus Christ because of His sacrificial death. We will discuss this further in future lessons.
“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34)
If God heals one person, He can heal you as well—God does not play favourites, however you must fulfil the requirements of God’s Word. For example, if you are in sin or operating in pride, God may not even “hear” your prayer.
2) God does not want anyone to suffer and die a premature death. His will is that everyone experience physical health in this life—just as it is His will that everyone be saved.
1) “...I am come that they [talking about us] might have life, and they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
2) “According to His divine Power hath given us all things that pertain unto life...” (2 Peter 1:3)
3) “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” (3 John 2)
So why are not more people divinely healed?
Simply put: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6 )
God has much to say about healing, both in demonstration and by direct instruction. However, we must recognise that not only are there prerequisites that must be met for healing to occur, but we must know and act upon our rights and privileges as sons and daughters of the Most High God. We will speak more of this later in this series.
3) There is a time for healing—it isn’t always instant.
There is “a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build…” (Ecc 3:3)
“But it is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises.” (Heb 6:12)
In “instant America”, we do not have the patience to wait on God in unwavering faith. One man, who was healed of back problems suffered for many weeks. But he persevered in prayer and came up for healing prayer every week. God eventually moved on his behalf, completely healing his back. What he learned through this prolonged trial, or what has changed in his relationship with God as a result, is known only to him and God. But I know this:
a) “Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but grievous; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” (Heb 12:11-13)
This is an interesting scripture. Very often, sin is a block to receiving healing from the Lord. We will discuss this later in this series.
b) “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.” (Rev 3:19)
Here Jesus tells us that the purpose of the rebuke and chastening is to bring about repentance.
c) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
4) Perseverance is an important ingredient in the healing process.
If your healing doesn’t come right away, never give up. Keep Asking! Persevere! Do not give up!
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:1-8)
This parable demonstrates that, in spite of the circumstances, we need to persevere in prayer and not give up. Note the last sentence: “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
Do you believe God at His word? Do you have true faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and His son Jesus Christ. Do you trust Him today with the little things like tithing? Or are you building a house on straw which will be ultimately be blown away when a real test of faith comes into your life?
5) When it comes to God’s PROMISES, His will is always YES. (2 Cor 1:19-20).
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” (John 4:34)
“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” (John 6:38)
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.” (John 14:10)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, ‘to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.’” (Luke 4:18-19)
God cannot lie. Jesus came with the authority of God. That authority was to deliver, heal, restore and set free. Not one person who came to Him in faith failed to receive their healing.
“When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’ Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.” (Matthew 8:1-3)
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” (Heb 13:8)
The same Jesus that healed all that came to Him with a repentant heart and faith as small as a mustard seed, is the same Jesus today. Jesus never changes. He was willing to heal 2,000 years ago and He is willing to heal you today.
6) Why isn’t everyone healed?
There are many reasons why people do not get healed and we will discussing these reasons in future lessons. But sometimes, we just cannot understand why certain people are not healed. We must understand that not only is our vision and understanding on this earth limited, but certain reasons are known only to God.
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” (1 Cor 13:12)
“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” (Deut 29:29)
The reason why some Christians fail to receive healing very often remains a secret, known only to God. It is not revealed to man. We do not need to be concerned with “secrets” such as these. Rather, we need to concern ourselves with those things which are revealed, the clear and definitive statements and promises of God given to us in His Word.
One often overlooked reason why the righteous are seemingly taken away before their time is found in the Book of Isaiah:
“The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.” (Isa 57:1)
Not everyone you pray for will be healed.
Jesus himself taught that not everyone was healed or delivered. Consider Luke 4:17-27. “And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”
“Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honourable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valour, but he was a leper. And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.” And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.” So the king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.”
So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing.
Therefore please consider, and see how he seeks a quarrel with me.” So it was, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, “Why have you torn your clothes? Please let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.” Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’
“Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage. And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.” (2 Kings 5:1-14)
Let’s examine the principles evident in Naaman’s healing (2 Kings 5). This will highlight just a few of the many reasons why not everyone is healed.
Principles:
1) Naaman did it God’s way, not his own way! Naaman was asked to do some things that he thought were ridiculous, but healing must always be in accordance with God’s divine principals and timing. Remember that “there is a way that seems right to a man, but its way is the way of death.” (Pro 14:12)
2) Naaman asked. “We have not, because we ask not.” (Matt 7:7-8)
3) Naaman humbled himself and did what was required of him even though he thought it was ridiculous. Remember that God gives grace to the humble, but opposes the proud.
4) Naaman was obedient. He finally did exactly as the prophet demanded of him. We also must also act in obedience to the Holy Spirit and to God’s Word to receive healing.
Results:
He acknowledged God.
He was healed.
7) Healing is available through Faith in God’s Word.
Both in Psalm 107 and in Proverbs 4, the means by which God provides healing is His Word. This demonstrates the truth that God Himself is in His Word, and that it is through His Word that He brings healing into our lives.
Let examine Psalm 107:17-20
“Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction’s.”
The Psalmist gives us a picture of men so desperately sick that they have lost all appetite for food and are lying right at death’s door. In their desperation they cry out to the Lord, and He sends them that which they cry for—healing and deliverance.
Side by side with this passage in Psalm 107, we set the passage in Isaiah 55:11, where God says:
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isa 55:11)
So in Psalm 107:20, we read that God sent His Word to heal and to deliver; and in Isaiah 55:11, God says that His Word will accomplish the thing for which He sent it. Therefore, God guarantees to provide healing through His Word, but there is more—we must meditate on God’s word.
Meditation on God’s word can bring healing.
“I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Hear my voice in accordance with your love; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws. Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law. Yet you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true. Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever. Look upon my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law. Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise.
Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek out your decrees. Your compassion is great, O LORD; preserve my life according to your laws. Many are the foes who persecute me, but I have not turned from your statutes. I look on the faithless with loathing, for they do not obey your word. See how I love your precepts; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your love. All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.” (Psalm 119:147-160)
The Psalmist is totally convinced that God’s commands and promises are true, that they have not changed (they last forever), that he loves God’s law and that he has kept God’s law (he hasn’t sinned). It is on this basis that the Psalmist petitions God. Notice that the Psalmist is uttering aloud the promises of God from His Holy Scripture. Speaking God’s word is Biblical. Jesus himself told us that he did not say or do anything He had not heard from the Father. Jesus, as the Creator, spoke the Universe into existence with a word.
When Jesus was tempted by Satan, Jesus quoted the Word of God (out loud) to Satan.
We need to speak the God’s Word out loud.
In Joshua, we find additional confirmation of this important principal.
“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8)
The word “meditate” used in both these passages is the Hebrew word “siyach,” meaning “to ponder,i.e. (by impl.) converse (with oneself, and hence aloud) or (trans.) utter.”
We need to speak the promises of God out loud.
But there is another reason to quote God’s Word out loud. It is to build our faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God
8) Faith is a mandatory ingredient for divine healing to occur.
See James1:2-8. “If you doubt, do not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”
Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is a substance that gives us the ability to “see” beyond what is currently perceived. The fact that we are to “walk by Faith and not by sight” is a recognition of this truth that what we see in the physical is subservient to the spiritual or supernatural. It is a God-like quality—our God “calls things those things which do not exist as though they did.” Romans 4:17
Never look at the circumstances. Rather fix your gaze on the author and finisher of your faith. Never give up, and above all, do not give ground to a spirit of fear. Trust Jesus!
All believers are given a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)
How do we build our faith? “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
But, passive faith is not Biblical faith! Biblical faith is faith in action. It is a faith that gives birth to action on our part. That faith may cause us to utter the promises of God out loud, or to be obedient to the Spirit of God. Faith is faith in action. Faith without works (action) is a dead faith (James 2:17-20)
Consider the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years (Mark 5:25-34, Matthew 9:20-22, Luke 8:43-48) Did she not put her faith into action? She was healed only when she acted on her faith and touched His prayer shawl.
We must ask God for what we need, but we must ask in faith and with the right motives.
“You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives.” (James 4:2b-3a)
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Biblical Faith also requires that we do not doubt:
Matthew 21:20-22 - “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
How much active faith do you need for healing to occur??
Faith as small as a mustard seed. (Mat 17:14-20)
However, in some cases faith is not enough. Prayer and fasting is required, as well. We will deal with this subject in later lessons.
9) Persistent unrepented sin is a serious problem in receiving healing.
Consider Paul’s words to the Corinthian Church, as recorded in 1 Cor 5:1-5:
“It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife. And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgement on the one who did this, just as if I were present. When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.”
In this case of sexual immorality, Paul says that this person should be handed over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. In other words, because of his unrepentant sin, his flesh will be destroyed by Satan (the author of sickness and disease) so he will come to repentance and everlasting life.
As we will learn in the days ahead, sin is a serious problem in the physical realm as well as in the spiritual realm. Sin opens a door which can lead to sickness.
THEREFORE, REPENT AND TRUST JESUS. HE NEVER FAILS!
Would you like to receive Jesus into your life and thereby become a son or daughter of God? Hen you must ask Jesus to save you from your sins, to come into your heart, to be the master of your life, and to not only take you to heaven when you die, but give you abundant life here on earth. So if you are not sure of your salvation today, and the desire of your heart is for Jesus Christ to come into your life to be your Lord and Saviour, make this your prayer:
Dear Lord, I am a sinner. I confess my sins to you and right now ask you to forgive my every sin. I invite you right now to come into my life, to be my Lord and my Saviour. Thank you for coming into my life. May I never be the same again. Make me a new person in Jesus Christ. I thank you in Jesus name. Amen.
If you have prayed this prayer, please let us know by EMAIL. It would be a real blessing to us.
“Watch and pray, therefore, that you would be counted worthy to escape the judgement that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36).
