Matthew 6:12 "And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven(left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against)our debtors."
Matthew 6:14-15 "For if you forgive people their trespasses (their reckless and wilful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment), your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses (their reckless and wilful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment), neither will your Father forgiveyou your trespasses."
The second step is forgiveness. JESUS said in the above scriptures that if we don't forgive the people who have hurt us then we will not be forgiven. That's not anything to play around with. I want to be forgiven and if that person who hurt me is going to keep me from God then I will quickly forgive them.
If you will not for give the people who have hurt you then you will not get any DELIVERANCE. Demons work on legalities and that is a legal hold that they have to stay in us. That is why the nice lady that you have seen dies with cancer or has arthritis. That bitterness and unforgiveness causes those diseases.
A sample prayer is as follows: Father, in JESUS name, I forgive my mother, father, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, grandparents, teachers, friends, bosses, ex-spouses, and anyone else who has hurt me. Amen.
If any namecomes to your mind then speak their name. For example, a stepfather, or thepreacher or any one from the church or churches you have attended.
If you have trouble forgiving them then you know for sure that a demonis involved. You can say, "Father, in JESUS name, my will is to forgive soand so. Amen." You don't have to feel good about forgiving these people, you just have to forgive. The Lord JESUS takes care of the rest. Matthew 18:32-35 "Then his master called him and said to him, you contemptible and wicked attendant! I forgave and cancelled all that (great)debt of yours because you begged me to.
And should you not have had pity and mercy on your fellow attendant, as I had pity and mercy on you? And in wrath his master turned him over to the torturers (the jailers), till he should pay all that he owed, so also My heavenly Father will deal with every one of you if you do not freely for give your brother from your heart his offenses."
There is torment involved with unforgiveness. According to this scripture, God allows these demons to torment us if we do not forgive.
