Afterword

This book is offered humbly to show that God has lovingly kept His covenants and promises. He has not forsaken, and will not forsake, those whom He has chosen and loved.

In these days of turmoil and conflicting philosophies, uncertainty, fear and perplexity, God is still in control of events. Their apparently random and often ugly nature should not be allowed to obscure the perfect timing of Him who is truly King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

It is hoped that this book may help the reader to see the underlying plan of the ages and understand the Divine purposes of history, and that by this it may bring faith and hope afresh to Jew and Gentile alike. Nothing less was the heart's desire of the writer, and nothing less are the wonderful purposes of God in the way major events of the renaissance of the State of Israel can be exactly related to the Bible's plan of the ages.

Indeed it has occurred to many that the time is now near when there will once again be a great Divine intervention in the affairs of men. The culmination will be a time when the Messiah will come again to rule the world from Jerusalem and they will look upon Him 'whom they have pierced' (Zechariah 12: 10) and will recognise the Redeemer of the world.

Therefore let us behold the Bridegroom and go forward to meet Him, and may our hearts be stirred and quickened in our love for Him for, as Paul says in 2 Timothy 4: 8, there is 'a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing'. Let us remember the closing words of Jesus in Revelation 22: 20 "Surely I come quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus'.
