Eternal life.

Eternal life is not a "reward" handed us upon voicing our assent to the facts of salvation. 

Eternal life is the spiritual life that accompanies our acceptance by God and our union with God through Christ, just as warmth and light accompany the rising of the sun.

Eternal life is much more than perpetual existence. 

Eternal life is a kind of life as biologic life is a kind of life. All spirits—clean and unclean—have perpetual existence. Eternal life is Christ. He is the Tree of eternal Life.

As we are pressed into Christ’s crucifixion, choosing to yield ourselves as the servants of righteousness, eternal life in the form of the resurrection of Jesus rises in every element of our personality. 

We receive eternal life into our spirit, into our soul, and—at the return from Heaven of the Lord—into our body.
