Never let us quarrel at the lowliness of our tasks or<br />
the limitations of <strong>our life-ministries</strong>. The still <strong>pond <br />

ripple of the stream or the swell and surge of ocean. <br />
It is content, in its simple way, to supply the needs <br />
of the cottage home, or refresh the weary toiler in <br />
the field, or give drink to the thirsty beggar. <br />

The <strong>violet </strong>blushing unseen in the woods does not <br />
envy the cedar with its evergreen foliage or the oak <br />
with its giant limbs and mighty shadow. It is content <br />
to occupy its assigned place, away, it may be, amid <br />
the loneliness of forest aisles. <br />

God has given to each of us our positions and appointed <br />
our tasks—humble as well as conspicuous, lowly as well<br />
as mighty. Little-hearts as well as Great-hearts are <br />
&quot;ministers of His to do His pleasure.&quot;
