The Right Hand is indicative of the power and authority of the LORD Jesus Christ, to Whom<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"<b>all</b><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>power is given unto"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Matthew 28:18).<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Let Thy hand be upon the Man of Thy Right Hand</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>[Jesus]</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">, upon the Son of Man whom Thou madest strong for Thyself"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Psalm 80:17). It will become apparent in verse 7 that the Father is actually here indicated; but still, Jesus said,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"All things that the Father hath are Mine"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(John 16:15).<br> <br> The fact that the Book is<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"written within and on the backside"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Revelation 5:1) points to the fullness or completeness of Its contents.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><b>full</b>"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Genesis 15:16). The sealing<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"with Seven Seals"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Revelation 5:1) speaks of the importance of the Book's contents.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"O Earth, Earth, Earth, hear the Word of the LORD"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Jeremiah 22:29).</font></p> <p align="CENTER" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">----</p> <ul style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"> <li><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">2</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?"</font></li> </ul> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><font size="4">Worthiness is a question that even the Angels of Heaven ask; but, the reply is anticipated. Unquestionably, our LORD<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><b>alone</b><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>is worthy<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"to open the Book"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:2).</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Thou art worthy, O LORD, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(4:11). Because the Saints submit their wills to Him that His Spirit may work in us<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"to will and to do of His good pleasure"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Philippians 2:13), we are then<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"<b>accounted worthy</b><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Luke 21:36)-- which is a Promise for the Pre-Tribulational Rapture.</font></p> <p align="CENTER" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">----</p> <ul style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"> <li><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">3</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And no man in Heaven, nor in Earth, neither under the Earth, was able to open the Book, neither to look thereon."</font></li> </ul> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><font size="4">This matter of opening the Book and<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"loosing the seals thereof"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:2) requires more than the strength and intelligence of the<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"strong angel"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:2). In short,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"no man"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:3) was found to open the Book.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Isaiah 59:16). Man is accounted as many<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"grasshoppers"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>in the sight of Him that<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"sitteth upon the circle of the Earth"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(40:22).<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(2:22).</font></p> <p align="CENTER" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">----</p> <ul style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"> <li><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">4</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the Book, neither to look thereon."</font></li> </ul> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><font size="4">Not surprisingly, the Apostle John-- more than an excellent example for the Body of Christ-- wept because no one<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"was found worthy to open and to read the Book"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:4).<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">8</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my LORD, what shall be the end of these things?<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#000000">9</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And He said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Daniel 12:8-9).</font></p> <p align="CENTER" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">----</p> <ul style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"> <li><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">5</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the Book, and to loose the Seven Seals thereof."</font></li> </ul> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><font size="4">One of the 24 Elders (4:10) tells John the Beloved to stop crying because Someone has been found to<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"open the Book"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:5). This Someone had<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"prevailed"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:5) or overcome, to be able to open the Book.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it"</font><font size="4">(Colossians 2:15). The<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Lion of the tribe of Juda"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Revelation 5:5) refers to Christ in reference to Jacob's prophecy concerning his son, Judah.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">9</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#000000">10</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto Him<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#000000">[Jesus Christ]</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>shall the gathering of the people be"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Genesis 49:9-10).<br> <br> The<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Root of David"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Revelation 5:5) indicates that the LORD Jesus was not just the<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"son of David"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Matthew 22:42), but was also<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><b>before</b><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>David.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">42</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose Son is He? They say unto Him, The Son of David.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#000000">43</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call Him LORD, saying,</font><font size="4" color="#000000">44</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#000000">45</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>If David then call Him LORD, how is He His Son?"</font><font size="4">(Matthew 22:42-45). This enigma of understanding how the LORD Jesus can be both the<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Root and the Offspring of David"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Revelation 22:16) is a secret, which is plain only to those who walk in faith.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Proverbs 14:6). And, how does one enter this walk of faith? By submitting to the truth that is<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><b>known by all men</b>.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">19</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#000000">20</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Romans 1:19-20).</font></p> <p align="CENTER" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">----</p> <ul style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"> <li><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"</font><font size="4" color="#000000">6</font><font size="4" color="#AA0000"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the Throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as It had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the Earth."</font></li> </ul> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><font size="4">Surrounding the Throne were:</font></p> <blockquote style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"> <p>(1)<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><font size="4">the angelic seraphim, which are the<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"four beasts"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(4:6), and<br> <br> </font>(2)<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><font size="4">the representatives of the Old and New Testament Saints, which are the<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"four and twenty elders"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(4:10).</font></p> </blockquote> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><font size="4">And,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"in the midst of the Throne"</font><font size="4">, is a Lamb<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"as It had been slain"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(5:6). This, of course, is the LORD Jesus Christ.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(John 1:29). This Lamb has<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"seven horns"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Revelation 5:6), which represent the perfection of power. Daniel understood the horns to represent kingly power, i.e.,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Daniel 7:24). God's people ought to take great joy in this revelation, because it demonstrates that the LORD is revealing His secrets to His people.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></font><font size="4" color="#AA0000">"His secret is with the righteous"</font><font size="4"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>(Proverbs 3:32).
