[[Sermon on Amos 1:1-15]] These are the words of Amos, who was among the herdmen [or a shepherd] at Tekoa (Amos 1:1), [[Sermon on Amos 2:1-16]] Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom in lime (Amos 1:1): [[Sermon on Amos 3:1-15]] Hear this word [Amos said] that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, and against the whole family (Amos 3:1) [[Sermon on Amos 4:1-13]] They worshiped the calf so God calls them a bunch of cows. These were shown to Amos, no doubt, in the form of a vision. [[Sermon on Amos 8:1-14]] Thus hath the Lord GOD showed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit (Amos 8:1).
